Reid Schoenfelder’s music career launched in 1989 as the lead singer and guitarist for the Baltimore-based band The Wanting Seed after a six-year stint in the Naval Reserves. The Wanting Seed toured much of the east coast and opened for several acclaimed recording artists including Tommy Keene, Aimee Mann, The Posies, and Material Issue to name a few. Their album, “Valerian” was in heavy rotation on numerous indie radio stations and college campuses. Schoenfelder also participated in the CMJ Music Marathon (1999 – 2001), the Philadelphia Music Conference, and the Millenial Music Conference. He was the winner of The Akademia Music Award for Best Acoustic Rock Song for “All The Girls” in the June 2016 Akademia Music Awards. Turner Broadcasting bought Schoenfelder’s song “What She Wants” for use in the television show “Firstwave” for the episode “All About Eddie”. Follow Reid at ffm.reid/bio
